I know loads of people aren't rating this place highly but we really liked it. Walked in and got given a booth right away. Drinks prices are standard for London and service was very quick. It was largely empty when we went even though it was a Friday night but we had a great time. View all feedback.
What SeatThirtyNine doesn't like about The Hoxton Seven:
This is likely the worst bar I've ever visited in London. The staff were unfriendly, and the drinks were served in plastic cups and were of poor quality. They serve doubles by default, which is fine since many places do that, but if you request a single, they still charge you for a double. This policy makes no sense. I would recommend avoiding this place! View all feedback.

We were on the lookout for a spot for a late lunch and happened upon this restaurant. They were running a promotion for two cocktails for £10, so we couldn't resist trying those as well! Our poke bowls were delicious and very fresh. We decided to upgrade to the large size for an additional £2.50 each, which was just right for a lunch portion. The cocktails were decent; I had a mojito, but I found it a bit too sweet for my taste. It wasn't busy for a Saturday lunchtime, which we appreciated. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a meal and a drink.
The bar staff seemed completely uninformed about what was happening. We visited for an event—otherwise, I wouldn't have chosen this place. I was charged £18 for a double vodka with soda, but it tasted like just tonic water, with no alcohol. So, either the tonic water cost £5 or my double vodka soda was over £13, which is unusually high for Shoreditch. They initially made my drink with water instead of soda and had to redo it. The only beer on tap was Guinness, and there were no other options available, which was quite odd. It would be so easy to turn this place into a decent bar.
We sat in the downstairs area which felt damp and had a strong, unpleasant smell. Was charged £13.50 for a vodka with soda water and lime. In a plastic pint cup. Completely unjustifiable and clear exploitation. Seriously, how can they justify charging £13.50 for a double shot of vodka, mixed with WATER and a slice of lime in a plastic pint cup! I 'd expect to pay this amount for a well-crafted cocktail in an upmarket bar, but this is simply a rip-off. I asked the barman why so expensive, he just shrugged and said, Shoreditch . There is a reason this club is empty, devoid of vibes and genuinely soulless. In serious need of review and new management. Please don 't waste your time or money.
