The coconut ric... read more I gave this place 2 because it's nice inside and the service was good. However, the food we had was truly horrible. The duck was mainly grizzle. The coconut rice was cold and certainly is not actually rice coconut rice with some dry coconuts. He knew crispy, he's been sitting getting some. The fried veal with lemon and coconut milk was horrible. I'm probably part of trying to eat food that was nuclear green, but my stomach doesn't appreciate it. Neither my partner and I feel very good after eating here. We used to eat at Tre Viet next door, but we thought we'd try Pho 999 because we heard it was good. Never again.

The staff were both friendly, attentive and efficient. I recommend it.

We decided to relive some of the amazing Vietnamese cuisine that we experienced on our vacation last year.I would like to walk Mare Street in Hackney and notice... read more We decided to relive some of the amazing Vietnamese cuisine that we experienced on our vacation last year.I would like to walk Mare Street in Hackney and noticed that some good Vietnamese restaurants Hackney kept while returning to London central station after the visit to the brewery fields last year so we decided to give one of them.The restaurant was very wide and had some ambient music playing ball, we thought it was to a winner. My wife is soup though, it was a small ear of the cows. Mine wouldn't have been fine if there were about four times the seafood, and it wasn't that salty. I also tried a piece of meat, knew a little strange, but not unpleasant. It was watered with a Saigon beer. I also realized that the background music was now driving me a little crazy, as I was in repeating, playing over and over again.While walking to the station my wife told me that I was a little fed up feeling, and just before we went to bed she cast most of it.In general, it was not a great experience, we will not come back.

We were surprised that the restaurant was not fuller on a Friday night when the next Vietnamese door was full. My husband's pho was good, though very spicy. I chose marinated beef barbecue with noodles. It was very tasty bright and fresh. The service was good.
