What Anonym dislikes about Jones And Sons:
Jones Sons (owned by Andy Jones, who previously ran the Cat Mutton on Broadway Market) is a modern British restaurant tucked away just off the Dalston strip with coffee from Monmouth, meat from local Well Street Butchers and some ales from London breweries Meantime, Beavertown and The Kernel. If you enjoy dining in a faux-industrial setting with exposed pipework and wiring reminiscent of early-90s Soho, New York, then Jones and Sons is the perfect spot for you. While some may find the atmosphere a bit contrived, the attentive staff and hot food make up for it. We tried the Sunday roast, which was standard fare except for the standout Yorkshire pudding – large, doughy, and more like a savory muffin than the usual pillow of carbs. Despite feeling a bit rushed by the waiting staff, the restaurant was bustling with customers, indicating that Jones and Sons must be doing something right.

We attended our niece's wedding at this venue on November 24th. It was easily accessible by train or bus after the ceremony at Hackney Town Hall. The main restaurant area had well laid out tables and the food was excellent. The waiting staff were polite and attentive. In the evening, guests moved to another room for the disco, which was connected to the main room. However, the music from the disco room was relayed back into the restaurant room through speakers, making it difficult to have a conversation. The bar had a great selection of drinks but could benefit from a designated area for making cocktails to prevent crowding. Unfortunately, one particular bartender had an arrogant attitude. Despite being ignored and served out of turn, the bartender made excuses and was reluctant to apologize. Overall, it was a great party venue, but there were issues with the bar service when it was busy.

We went on a Sunday to eat the typical English Sunday roast, and we were very surprised for good. I ordered the pork and my partner the veal and ate half of each, the veal was good, but the pork was spectacular. The site is cozy and friendly service.
