Hooray! The Richmond Stratford overground line is running on Sundays again! We celebrated this last Sunday by hopping a train to Dalston; we were in search of Turkish food for brunch. I already had a place in mind Evin Cafe, where fresh gözleme could be found, a Turkish filled flatbread I'd been wanting to try. It's difficult to miss on Kingsland High Street we found this sight in their window. We entered the restaurant and were surpised to find quite a large space with lots of seating. After making ourselves comfortable at a table at the back, we ordered a range of the Turkish dishes that were listed on the breakfast menu and all turned out to be winners in my book! As you can imagine, a gözleme was part of the order. First up was a sucuklu menemen £5.75), a mixture of green pepper, onion, tomato, special garlic sausage the sucuk) all bound together with scrambled egg. It may not look like much but it was fresh and delicious all scooped up with the basket of sesame studded Tu
Nestled on Kingsland Road, Evin Café offers a delightful blend of Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine, ideal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Diners frequently rave about the homemade gözleme and hearty mezes, with many praising the restaurant's vibrant atmosphere and friendly service. However, discrepancies between menu prices and actual costs, along with a cash-only payment policy, have garnered some criticism. While the café provides ample seating options, the proximity to the main road can be noisy. Overall, Evin is celebrated for its generous portions, affordable prices, and consistently satisfying dishes that keep patrons returning for more.

We went for an late breakfast today, the food was very good. And staff so friendly with our grandchild . Will return when we visit again.
Staff forcing customers to leave tips. Giving you less change than was due, hoping you are drunk enough so you don't notice. The club downstairs is a rathole. A disgrace of a place ran by people that clearly have no decency nor honesty and who are unwilling to come to England to live under English standards. Stay away
I was happy to return here after being away from London for a long time. The food is as good as I remember and the prices still very affordable. I enjoyed a brunch of menemen and I also like the mucver (fried courgette and feta pancakes). I always recommend this place and can’t resist returning time and again!
I went with my friends for dinner it was fantastick very nice food and excellent service i will come back absolutely and I recommend to evrybody
They failed to accept my order last 2 times while I was waiting for 20 minutes. When I ordered a simple lunch takeaway. (Some gozlemes) I had to wait outside for more then 30 minutes... I have also had their food delivered with with half of the order missing. I used to be a fan, but I have just about given up...

A simple evening meal of kebabs and beer with a friend. Good friendly service and good food a a nice clean environment. Good prices .Just popped in on a Monday evening on the off chance but I'd definitely go again. EFS bottled beer is good too.
Helpful friendly staff. Good service and excellent start to the evening with generous Mezze and a drink.
I recommend hot delicious anatolian breakfast dish to everyone guys! You can also order “gözleme” and turkish tea near by it!
Great experience overall. The service and food were both top-notch and reasonably priced. My spouse has a garlic allergy, and the staff was quick to make accommodations for her dietary restrictions.
We were invited to this restaurant for a birthday party and the food was fantastic. However, the prices were not as advertised on their website and we were only able to pay in cash, credit cards were not accepted. Additionally, our party of 18 did not receive the starters we had ordered.
