EFES in Leytonstone is, without a doubt, the best Turkish restaurant in the area. The food and service are exceptional, with generous portions ranging from the complimentary starters to the main course. We absolutely adore this place and highly recommend it. We always choose the set 1 meal, which is incredibly satisfying. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed.
We had no issues securing a table for four and were warmly welcomed upon our arrival. After being shown the menu, we were treated to complimentary Turkish tea before our meal. We opted for the sharing platter and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size. Everything was cooked to perfection, and we were continually offered warm, fresh bread throughout our dining experience. Water was provided free of charge, and the meze was a delightful addition to our meal, featuring plenty of juicy chicken and lamb. The side dishes were also quite flavorful. The staff were attentive and made us feel right at home. Overall, we enjoyed a wonderful meal at a very reasonable price. Including two cokes and an extra plate of chips that we didn’t actually need, our total came to £53.00. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a pleasant night out and look forward to returning. Best regards, Christine Hale and family.
My family and I dined at this restaurant on Saturday before heading to the theater. Our group included five adults (one of whom is a vegetarian) and two children. We were seated at a charming table, and the kids were delighted by the Turkish-themed decor, featuring vibrant globes. The waiter was very attentive and helpful. We found the prices to be quite reasonable, with a good range of options on both the set menu and the à la carte menu, as well as a nice selection of wines. If we had made a reservation for later in the evening, we could have enjoyed a belly dancing performance.
The food here is great it was my second time here, but there won 't be a third. We sat at an empty table a lovely spot by the entrance to the restaurant a big chunk wooden table with seats to match. Several minutes later we were asked by the waitress to move because we are expecting a group of 6 and we need this table . We moved to a nasty table, away from the restaurant. An hour later, the large table was still empty and the waitress wouldn 't look us in the eye she knew she 'd been found out. I don 't know why they didn 't want us to sit there but I know I don 't like being lied to. When the bill came a 10% tip had been added we didn 't pay it.
