Curious Yellow Kafe' - Hackney
Curious Yellow Kafe'
Description
Curious Yellow Kafe offers a charming atmosphere with outdoor seating, attracting both locals and visitors alike. While some patrons rave about its friendly service and delightful dishes like the roasted dhal soup and pancakes, others express disappointment over slow service, overlooked orders, and bland meals, particularly during busy periods. The cafe’s potential seems stifled by inconsistent attentiveness from staff, affecting the overall experience. However, many appreciate the cozy vibe and welcoming ambiance, especially with the presence of the beloved dog, Louis. Overall, Curious Yellow Kafe stands as a mixed but memorable option for brunch enthusiasts in the area.

Lovely coffee and breakfast. Hopefully this can counteract the hateful reviews. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
During a recent trip to London, my son and I visited this cafe. We were impressed by the relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and the welcoming feel of the place. The menu offered a nice variety of options. Although it took a bit of time for our food to be served, we understood that freshly made dishes take time. The coffee was excellent, the food delicious, and we enjoyed a great breakfast while watching commuters pass by the front window on their way to work. Overall, it was great value for money.
I just witnessed the most scrumptious breakfast being served at 3:30 PM on a Saturday. I will definitely be returning soon to try one for myself.
I went to this restaurant for brunch with friends today and had a mixed experience compared to my last visit. Our food took a long time to come out, even though the restaurant is small. I ordered the aubergine and tofu curry, which I found to be tasty and reasonably priced. It wasn't the best food I've ever had, but it was satisfyingly rich. I also tried the spiced pumpkin soup with kale, but it was a letdown. The portion was large, but the soup lacked flavor. I only had a few spoonfuls before giving up. My husband enjoyed his lamb burger and my friend thought the Swedish meatballs were tasty enough. I'm not sure if I would come back unless they bring back the menu items I enjoyed during my first visit.
