Why should musicians be expected to perform for free while the bar is making money? It's truly disgraceful. The owner should be ashamed of themselves.

I absolutely refuse to set foot in there again though until they part ways with Nicky, the woman who does the karaoke on Sunday evenings. She's disorganised, stressed, but worst of all rude to the customers. She very publically insulted my partner tonight while he was trying to give her (pre-arranged) assistance in managing the karaoke crowd control. Bearing in mind he gave up his evening to try and help her, she arrived 2 hrs later than planned, dismissed his ideas, told him to effectively be her bouncer, and then had a go at him for not mopping up spilt drinks (and to humiliate him further it was in front of a microphone so that everyone could hear). Even though he doesn't actually work there and was just trying to help! At this point my boyfriend walked out in disgust. You'll not have our custom again until this woman has gone. What a shame.
