What User doesn't like about Tafarn Tu Hwnt I'r Afon:
... you don 't want a gastropub, this is a decent inn. The poor fellow waiting tables was 'run off his feet ' and the choice was limited but it 's worth considering as it 's one of just a few on the back roads between Aberdaron and Pwhelli. What User likes about Tafarn Tu Hwnt I'r Afon:
So good to have our local pub back ! Had first meal here since under new management. Very impressed a fab steak , cooked to perfection and home made chips and all the trimmings, lovely. All served with a smile. Would recommend. View all feedback.

The reviews for this pub are a mixed bag, with both positive and negative feedback. While some diners were disappointed by overcooked dishes and lackluster service, others praised the delicious home-cooked food and friendly atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of options, from homemade pizzas to surf and turf, with generous portion sizes that left patrons satisfied. The new management received particular praise for injecting fresh energy and enthusiasm into the establishment. Overall, it seems that this pub is worth a visit for those looking for good food and a warm Welsh welcome, especially for those with furry friends in tow.
