We have just returned from an excellent meal in the restaurant in caerwylan hotel. we booked it on the basis of tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. o... read more We have just returned from an excellent meal in the restaurant in caerwylan hotel. we booked it on the basis of tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. our eating was absolutely first advice. we would recommend the mango Prawn court and the terrine. as start the fish and the lamb main courses and the panna cotta as dessert; we would be very surprised if the other courts in the offer were not equally good. service was also very good. all employees were pleasant and efficient. we had coffee in the lounge with a fantastic view of the sea. it was our first day in criccieth so we can't compare it with other restaurants in the city, but it was a great start to our short high season in wales.

I had an America coffee, okish and my husband had almond cake and poached pear sweet, nice but? Ok evening, restaurant quiet, staff good but felt food was average and not the type of food that sets your tastebuds on fire. Not as highend as the reviews suggest. Overpriced.
