My wife and I dined here this week when traveling through the area.......we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the meal. I requested a shared meal, as we are traveling seniors, and the staff accommodated our request with a smile! What jjejermaster doesn't like about Big G's Pizza & Restaurant:
We stopped for lunch and I ordered 3 piece fish n chips. They brag about homemade food but the fries were frozen and very salty. the fish was disgusing, it was over cooked and tough, the batter was so thick, there was more batter than there was fish. I would not recommend the restaurant, best advice..keep on driving to someplace else
The chicken souvlaki pita was delicious and full of flavor. However, my husband's scallops seemed to be pre-breaded and frozen before being cooked.
Easily the worst slice of pizza I’ve ever eaten. Crust was hard, veggies on the works tasted stale, bland sauce... bring your own food to Guysborough folks

Stopped on the way to Cape Breton Island. Shoreline trail only place to eat in town. Waitress was very nice. Food was ok nothing great. Donair was average. Sauce on it was milk with sugar and vinegar very sweet. The chicken wraps were warm which was weird. Safe choice the hamburgers. As you enter the precooked pizzas were spinning on a warming pan they didn’t look very inviting for a pizza joint. The food filled a hole and that is what we expected not great but not inedible.
