This is the place that cannot be missed for all their favorite tasty and homemade brot. every time I visit the island, I take a lot of fresh house that made brot for family and friends back to the city. I love the forge and it is. a great place to win a selection of squares and cookies for their family gatherings. there is an excellent friendly customer service and always find a smile.
We were in search of some items to enhance our picnic lunch, and this place was perfect. They had delicious baked goods and the ladies working at the counter were very helpful.
We came across this bakery while touring Isle Madame. Located just across the bridge at Petit De Grat this convenience store produces some of the best baked goods that I have ever tasted and the prices are excellent as well. Everything is made on site...and from scratch. Well worth a stop.
Many bakeries focus on creating intricate, visually appealing pastries, but not this one! They offer cookies that taste just like mom's homemade treats, but in twice as many flavors (I couldn't decide between ginger and molasses because they were both so delicious), as well as homemade bread and locally inspired delights like toasted squares. Customers are sure to find a special treat to satisfy their sweet tooth here.
The only problem with this cozy place is to decide what to have for her picnic on the beach, take them home dinner or lunch cuz there are sooo many chubby decisions, it's hard to make her mind!
