this is one of the best experiences we had. the personal is fabulous, as for the bistro, where I start. it is the fastest service I ever met, the meal was cooked to perfection, and we both had to ask for a pick-up container because we couldn't eat anything. the bar service was very efficient and served with a smile. the atmosphere was fantastic and we enjoyed the kamin to complete it. a first-class team effort. well... I had a fantastic experience at this pub. The service was old-fashioned and wonderful, the locals were great, and the publican was very friendly. The pub meals were delicious and it looked like the place had recently undergone a renovation, as it was stunning. I tried the lamb cutlets and they were amazing. We decided to spend the night here on our way back to Newcastle and the accommodation was fantastic. The rooms were not your average pub rooms - they were a bit upmarket, with amenities like flat-screen TVs and sinks in the rooms, which is unheard of for a pub. The price was very affordable as well. I can't remember the last time I stayed at a better pub. Our hosts, Shane and Naomi, made us feel very welcome. I initially went to the Guyra Hotel first, but after seeing how run-down it was and the fact that they didn't serve meals, I quickly left and headed to this wonderful pub.
