I have to say that we ate very well, we have served wonderful and unexpected aperitifs and amused bouche, the bread made by them is exceptional, the kind staff, the wine card very interesting, but the wait before being served and then, worse, between a plate and later, was really too long, I dare say unacceptable, because it makes you pass the hunger. The food was excellent, and the owners are also lovely people. We arrived off season on a Tuesday night, and were the only customers. Nevertheless, the owners were willing to serve us a diverse set of courses, and took great pride and care in their preparation. We enjoyed a fantastic series of tasting menus, including a vegetarian menu. The dishes ranged from very traditional piedmontese to more unique plates based upon seasonal fruits and vegetables. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Note that this is NOT a place to go if you intend to rush through your meal the experience will take at least a couple of hours if you are doing a tasting menu. The desserts are not to be missed both beautifully presented and exquisite. At the end of the meal, we were very content, but discovered we'd gotten a flat tire on the drive to the restaurant. The chef was kind enough to come outside himself to assist as we figured out how to change the rental car tire. What kind people to go this extra step!
This place is simply just amazing, honest and innovative. Chef Davide Odore is so skillfull, he mad us one of the best risottos, we ever had: with pumpkin, 99% chocolate and Barolo. Genius. But especially the dessert was outstanding, so balanced and the chocolate work was simply just class. Thank you for this experience. Thanks for your hard work. Deepest respect. Recommended by our hotel..we had an absolutely amazing experience. Although we didn’t speak the language they were so helpful, suggested a fabulous bottle of wine to pair with our food. Each corse was a work of art for the eyes and palate. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner so memorable.
On a Friday evening one week ago, I was with 3 friends dining in the room next to terrace where the opposite side sitting a table of a couple and heard that they asked to change the music. And then the man left and slammed the door, the lady was left with embarrassment. My friend just returned to seat from toilet witnessed this and I saw the lady felt perhaps shocked just like the other clients dining at the same time in the same room. It’s a gastronomic restaurant not a cafeteria. The restaurant is positioned to be bistro or gastronomic style is not according to our (consumers) decision or perception or you think that it should be. Why can’t we pay more respect to those restaurant personnel who make their efforts to make a living? If you prefer cafeteria, then go to cafeteria. If you don’t like background music and want to change, did you ask the other clients dining at the same time if it bothered them, too? Or it’s only you? Everyone comes to the restaurant for dining and is treated the same. Food delivery time is slow? I totally disagreed. We had dinner at another gastronomic restaurant the day before, and we ordered 4 dishes, 2 dishes for each and the total dining time was 2 hours. Again, if you prefer cafeteria, and think the menu is expensive (perhaps, just assumption) and you can’t afford it, don’t come to any gastronomic restaurant. It’s already very reasonable price. Comparing the prices in Switzerland or Paris, you don’t get the quality like in Italy. Gastronomic restaurant takes time but also to teach people to slow down the life pace and experience the details of the love from the kitchen team. I witnessed what happened that evening and feel I am responsible to tell the truth. We all need to have more compassion and respect for each other in this world. And don’t tell a lie or fake the story trying to slander people who are innocent.
