This place gets better. We were just too early to enjoy the Wild season when we could enjoy some nice venison like last year. However, the meat supplied for the fondue was simply excellent and plentiful. The view all the way to the south was spectacular and the smell of the wood burning stove added to the enjoyment. Service was excellent, as it always is. The menu has something for everyone and if what you want is no... View all feedback.
What Julien Thomas doesn't like about Restaurant des Chaux SA:
I would not recommend this restaurant because of the bad quality of their meals: cold pasta, poor salads, defrozen desserts, expensive prices for almost nothing. It is a pitty the former owners left, they proposed a good quality cuisine both for skiers and for all tourists. View all feedback.
The second time I have visited this restaurant, the first time a chef sneezed on a plate and served food on it and this time the food was inedible. Imagine processed chicken, overly salty, some oil based sauce slopped on top and served with cold chips. Couldn't eat it. Nobody we know eats here anymore because of the consistently bad experience. Strictly coffee or a drink only and move on to somewhere else that deserves your patronage. Avoid!
When intending in September 2016 to have a nice hot chocolat drink on a beautiful sunny morning, I sat down to enjoy it all. A grumpy man came and asked whether I was by myself or expecting others to join me. I was not expecting anybody else so gave that answer. He told me that in that case I had to move to a table near to the building. I asked him why and the answer was that the tables at the railing of the terrace where for groups only. Please note that apart from myself there were only 2 tables occupied. I did not want an argument, so got up and left the restaurant and its terrace. I do not think I shall ever go back there unless management changes.
We have been coming here with the whole family for 6 years. Service is great, always with a smile. Carlos and his family are so welcoming. The location of this restaurant is great, just next to the ski school. They have a lovely terrace, and we are able to eat while keeping an eye on the kids that are skiing in front!

A most agreeable lunch that prepared us for the walk downwards.
