What Raphael Naumann doesn't like about L Ecluse:
annual meal with our group. disappointment of the terrine entrance fade without taste. Then two dishes with a choice of fish and lamb. Served with the same sauce... with a hot wine. This is not the first time we take note of meal group in this restaurant. but this year we were very disappointed. even the rate of drinks is discouraging. 20 euros a bottle of black pinot of alsace without interest View all feedback.
Breezy terrasse over signe river is a welcoming place. Summer service has charming helper from abroad , professional and smiling. On our plates truffles cream ravioli and pokeplate with salmon. Good indeed and fresh. Prices are on a reasonnable range. A place to come back to!

The restaurant is off a main road and close to the river which gives it a very quiet, secluded feel of intimacy. There is ample parking however and lovely outdoor seating for the spring and summer. Once inside there are actually 3 distinct seating areas; one is light and modern more in a French style and behind it is an area more Germanic in styling while on the opposite side is a room done in the typical dark woods of a Brauhaus. This said the menu reflects the same; a mix of traditional French and German cuisine to choose from and a good wine list as well. Service is prompt and depth of knowledge is a point of pride here. An example would be ordering the cheese plate and having staff know exactly where each cheese is from and what drinks best accompany them. This was a return trip for us and each time the meal has been well worth the trip and the price. There are menus offered as well as a la carte and prices vary greatly so there is something for anyone and everyone from the casual family luncheon to the gourmand experience.
To celebrate our wedding anniversary, we spontaneously wanted to go to eat at the restaurant but the swan was complete. Our choice has gone on the lock. We haven't been decommissioned. We took two menus at 29 euros and it was very good. The dishes are well presented, the well cooked meats. for each dish, the menu makes a suggestion of wine, good and cheap. The reception is a little fresh, the service is slow (two young waitress for more than twenty busy tables) but perhaps it was the kitchen that did not follow. the frame seems new, clean but without particular charm. the addition was suitable (80 euros for two, from aperitif to dessert)
Very good restaurant, we have been there for several years. the setting is pleasant, just like the terrace by the water. the dishes are excellent, let you try with their fish, they are very well cooked. but the map also has many other choices such as meat, pizza or frog thighs. the wines are also at the height and the manager will guide you to best accord them with your dish. the staff is helpful and polite. I recommend it!
