Description

Frontier emerges as a beloved hometown restaurant, frequently praised for its hearty breakfasts and attentive service. While many diners rave about signature dishes like the border skillet and Western skillet, others have expressed disappointment with inconsistent food quality and service. Some meals, such as bland chicken dishes, fell short of expectations, with errors in orders leading to frustrations. Despite occasional lapses, Frontier maintains a solid reputation, drawing patrons with its fair prices and friendly atmosphere. Overall, it remains a recommended spot for comforting, no-nonsense meals, appealing to both locals and travelers alike.

We LOVE coming to Frontier. 9/10 everything is perfect. We have had times where our service wasn’t great or the food wasn’t as good as usual but it’s not a common occurrence. They are often busy (for good reason) but it always a solid choice. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch

Stopped here for lunch, I had the breaded pork tenderloin which was fine, but not the great big tenderloin that hangs out the sides of the hamburger bun that Iowa is famous for. Wife had the chicken sandwich with grilled avocado. The grilled avocado was something we hadn’t seen before, but it was very good. Waitress was very attentive. The price was fair. Service: Dine in
