However, the quiet atmosphere allows for easy conversation. While some customers have experienced burnt dishes and subpar service, others have enjoyed delicious food such as pan-roasted duck and creative specialties like the vodka chicken. With a menu that changes regularly, patrons may be disappointed when their favorite specials are not available. Overall, this establishment is a great spot for foodies looking for top delicacies and unique cocktails, even if there are occasional inconsistencies in service quality.
Everything that came to our table was burnt. When people came in to eat, the automatic reaction by staff was “well hopefully you have a reservation because we are booked full.” The place was empty. Response to reply: Yes, I am sure this is the right place. I ordered the Mahi Mahi Tacos, fish was dry and more black than not, $22/plate, I would expect better. And one of the specials for the night was flatbread pizza again the bottom was more black than not, $14/plate, again I would expect better. I 'm not going to make a scene when I am trying to have a nice night away from the kids. I get you were busy , but there are at least 20 tables in your establishment and maybe 5 had guests at them. And the automatic being we 're booked doesn 't seem right when the place is empty.

While in Iowa on a business trip, my colleague and I were trying to find a place to have dinner. There weren't a lot of restaurant options other than fast food. I went on Yelp and found this place, it was about a 23 min drive from where we were staying but that wasn't a problem and I personally didn't mind the scenic rolling hills of corn, and soybean plants that went on for miles. The day we came they had a special going on where any burger on the menu was $11. I went for the only vegetarian one on there which was the falafel burger, came with a house made tzatziki sauce. Really delicious, very generous sized burger. We also shared the cajun shrimp appetizer, and I think I enjoyed that best. Easily could've had it as my entree, very well done. It wasn't till after our meal that we discovered that the downstairs of the restaurant is actually a speakeasy, with the bartender dressed up like something out of the 1920's. VERY beautiful, and for anyone looking to travel back in time while enjoying a beverage, I'd highly recommend it. Overall, this is a great dining spot.
