We have been up the cable car which is a classic and thoroughly... read more This was our third time at the Pfingstegg restaurant. It is run by hard working charming family. We have been up the cable car which is a classic and thoroughly enjoyable experience compared to the modern plastic examples. We have also hiked both sides of the restaurant for lunch and a beer. We have always been welcomed by the lovely owners Erika and Stephan. Even on a hot 26 degree day with the place in full swing they meet and greet with a smile. The food is excellent and the staff are helpful, friendly and hard working. Dinner there is glorious, with the added spectacle of the sunset over Grindelwald from way up in the trees. On a Friday night you can catch the last cable car down at around 10pm. During the day there are plenty of things to occupy the children including a 736 meter long slide where speeds of 40 km/h can be obtained, plus a play park at the rear of the restaurant. Altogether a wonderful experience. Thanks for all your hard work, from Keith, Steffie, Talie, John and Sue. See you next year.
