The gondola trip was fun, and we loved to sit outside on the terrace with views of grindelwald while we ate lunch. eating was decent, but probably not worth the... read more The gondola trip was fun, and we loved to sit outside on the terrace with views of grindelwald while we ate lunch. eating was decent, but probably not worth the cost of riding the gondel when eating a meal is the only thing they have to do....We were there for my enkelin and me to run the rodel slide, so it made sense for us to eat there. the staff was friendly and the service was good. they first got one of our commands wrong, but corrected him very quickly.

Unfortunately, the service lacks the charm and efficiency that are found so far in Switzerland, perhaps because of underoccupied. the waitress seemed to be completely stressed that it was quite rude. everything I asked, was a kokakola and cake after a long hot walk; the kokakola arrived warm and without ice, and the cake did not follow until I almost finished my drink. the bill never came, although I had asked for it, and when I finally went to the writing and asked again to pay the waitress obscure past with hardly any recognition. At some point, a lady took my money. like another critic recently wrote, it seemed that they were more interested in serving large groups than someone on their own.
