Catch in Giffnock presents an intriguing blend of reviews that highlight both exceptional service and disheartening experiences. While many patrons laud the restaurant’s friendly staff and excellent seafood options—especially the gluten-free offerings—others report disappointing food quality and service issues, such as booking mismanagement and unclean dining conditions. The presentation of dishes receives praise, but the flavors often disappoint. Despite the varied experiences, it remains clear that when service shines, Catch has the potential to deliver memorable meals, making it a place worth considering—but perhaps with some caution.

Foods okay really cramped inside with tables in the way of everyone else you don’t have enough space when sitting down the staff aren’t friendly when taking orders and an old man and woman were overwhelmed by this I felt sorry for them and is really noisy with the staff talking all at once I can’t hear myself think I would appreciate quiet when I’m eating my chips were big and greasy and strong food smells of fish chicken I am really not use to big food smells like that my nose is sensitive to strong food it’s the way I smell my sense of smell is far too high the music is very old fashioned from the waltz I enjoy quiet music like that rather than loud thumping music too many families all carrying on with each other and talking too loud I felt sorry for the old man and woman I said to them I don’t like noise too they respected me because they knew I was a respectable citizen I had a nice chat with them they came from Auldhouse farmhouse I didn’t like the noise in here listening to the staff all chatting at once I prefer quiet like a few old country inns with old windows looking out to the fields and seeing the cows and sheep and old fashioned bar and brick walls and old doors I like places like that with old men with bonnet hats and pipes I told the old man and woman this and they shook my hand and said well done good choice so do we I felt sorry for them coming all that way with noise I prefer that atmosphere in the old inns rather than listening to noisy staff and families with kids carrying I don’t like that get nervous when there’s noise not my favourite place to eat.

Lovely staff, really good chips and the gluten free options are a life saver! Wife has also confirmed the fish is excellent! I got at least every other week now.

We went back to Catch Giffnock for a birthday dinner and were extremely happy with our experience. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our server was friendly, efficient, and wonderful with the kids. We will definitely be returning again soon. Thank you.

Just dreadful, from being ignored upon entering despite a booking. Filthy glasses , pitiful portions and dreadful haggis. TACOS plural which is actually single and miniscule. Filthy toilet which stunk. Then the bill just over 50 quid for two. Just avoid.
