Cafe Sobar in Nottingham offers a variety of vegan and vegetarian options at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and accommodating, with a pleasant atmosphere. They offer free tap water and have a student discount available. Despite some mixed reviews on the food, the cafe is praised for its child-friendly environment, high-quality ingredients, and willingness to accommodate specific requests. It also offers a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks and delicious cakes. Overall, Cafe Sobar is highly recommended for a cozy and comfortable dining experience in Nottingham.
I’d heard great things about cafe sobar but was left underwhelmed after dining here. I had ordered the jackfruit panini but was first given a tuna panini which I obviously sent straight back. When the right meal came it was okay but nothing amazing. I asked if they had any vegan mayo and they got me the big tub from the kitchen but it seemed to have gone off. However there are a lot of vegan options on the menu so hopefully they are tastier.
There were many vegan and vegetarian options, the staff was very friendly. I got a student discount, so that's a plus. You can have water for free (tap). Not too expensive
For £7.95 you get 1 watery mushroom, deep fried flavourless tofu, chilli diced potatoes that again we're bland and lacking chilli and a dollop of unappetising wilted spinach. Side of toast came with butter.
Title sums it up. The fry is definitely one of the better vegan frys I've tried. There were some other vegan options too, so you won't be limited to just the fry. They even do a vegan biscoff cupcake, but these were sold out when I was there :
