Bonzai - Greymouth
Bonzai
Description
At this charming café, diners experience a mix of delightful and disappointing offerings. While many rave about the excellent pizza, inviting atmosphere, and friendly service, others express frustration over limited menu items and subpar dishes, such as overcooked fried chicken and lackluster pizza. However, highlights include the hearty vegetable soup, kumara fries, and an impressive selection of vegan options. The rustic setting and warm staff create an inviting ambiance, though patrons have noted some inconsistency in service. Overall, this café has potential for a great dining experience, but improvements are needed in menu availability and food quality.

The fried chicken I ordered was tiny and over cooked, dry and had a burnt taste. The coslaw was tiny and was just some cabbage and carrot. Only thing that was okay was the chips. 21$ for this was ridiculous and over priced for the tiny amount and the poor quality. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
We have been here a few times for lunch. Up until now its been good. But after this visit we will not go back. The woman at the counter had no people skills, cold with no sense of humor. My husband ordered fish n Chips and I ordered works wedges. We have had these meals before. When they came, the fish n Chips were cold, and the wedges was such a small serving I could of eaten another plant full. Other times I have had wedges I could only eat half of it and my husband had the rest.
