Pie Vs Pie - Gresham
Pie Vs Pie
Description
Pie Vs Pie shines for its outstanding flaky, buttery crust and tempting fruit pies and cakes—ideal for dessert stops or to-go slices (whole pies by advance order). The bright, well‑decorated space and generally friendly staff offer short waits and reasonable prices in downtown Gresham. Expect inconsistencies: savory pies can be dry or bland, portions (notably quiche) are small, some fruit fillings are skimpy or overly sweet, and service or side attention can be hit-or-miss.

The crust at Pie Vs Pie was outstanding—light and airy with a perfectly crispy top. We also enjoyed another berry cake from their menu, which was truly delicious. Although it was sweeter than our usual berry desserts, the flavors were wonderful. We’re definitely planning to return soon to try more items from both the sweet and savory sections of the menu. Thank you, Pie Vs Pie!
I ordered the apple pie, and my friend chose a mixed berry pie. I probably would have enjoyed them more if they were served warm. I preferred the apple pie since it was slightly sweeter without being overpowering. The crust was excellent, which is always a good sign of a quality pie—though it would have been even better warm. I’d suggest ordering these to go so you can reheat them at home.
Excellent variety of cakes and friendly service, with minimal waiting time. The fruit cakes are delightful, and the savory dinner pies are rich and flavorful. Prices are reasonable, making it a perfect spot to visit while exploring Gresham city center or simply craving a tasty slice. Keep in mind that whole cakes need to be ordered ahead of time.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere, but it’s not suitable for a proper meal. I ordered the chicken pot pie ($8) and my husband had the quiche ($8). Calling these “meals” is misleading. Both came with a small side salad consisting of a few pieces of lettuce and a small amount of dressing (see photos). We wanted water but weren’t offered any. When I went to the counter to ask, two employees were on their phones and ignored me. The quiche slice was very small, and the pot pie was dry and bland. We left feeling very disappointed. My husband said he’s never had such a tiny portion in his life—it wasn’t even enough for lunch. The salad felt more like a garnish. I’m giving it one star only because the decor is nice.
I ordered the apple pie and a friend ordered a sort of mixed berry pie. I might have liked this a lot more if the pie was heated up. I liked the apple more than the berry as it was a little sweeter, but not too sweet! You overall know it's a good pie withthe crust and this crust was great (again probably better if warm). I'd recommend getting this to go for reheat.
