Genuine Thai food prepared by an authentic Thai chef. I spent several years in Thailand and have a Thai wife and this is one of the best Thai food experiences I have found in Canberra. Hesitant about giving out this comment because it will be secret. this is the best Thai food in canberra without doubt and yet the restaurant is in appearance, although very cozy and warm inside. our favorites are the deep fried broken garnels that melt in their mouth, served with delicate but authentic sauces. the garlic chili ente with medium heat is simply stunning. there are many other courts that we have tried, but there are some that we still try to make it difficult to choose from those who love them. it is so modest in price, people are so friendly, and charlie sometimes makes one appear to speak about the meals after eating. it is also byo. worth for...read more
I love this place. good service, great food. probably the best thai I've ever eaten. worth his awards.
Boil bad example for authentic thai, will not be back. eating is tasteless, steamed vegetables were served cold and the dishes were padded with carrot and flower cabbage. very disappointing.
Charlie's is my all time favourite Thai restaurant. The service has always been great, the chef, Charlie regularly comes out of the kitchen to see how the customers are enjoying their food and I always get the extra chilli that I ask for. I would have to say that this is the closest to authentic Thai that you can get outside of Thailand. Fresh ingredients are always used with lots of colour and flavour. My all time favourite dish is the chuchee eggplant. Even non vegos love it!
