Description

Sofritos delivers bold Latin flavors in a cozy, music-filled space where attentive service and warm owner hospitality make locals and visitors feel welcome. Standouts include mofongo, steak dishes, ropa vieja, shrimp bowls and house-sour margaritas; desserts like tres leches impress. Patrons praise fresh ingredients, vibrant seasoning and clean restrooms. Some inconsistency appeared at brunch—mangu texture, a watered-down queso-chorizo and uneven steak seasoning were noted—so expect excellent cocktails and most dishes but occasional misses. Overall a worthy, flavorful neighborhood destination.

Awesome spot. I love the happy hour and I started ordering takeout lunch from here because the bowls are pretty healthy. The server Jose is so hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great dining experience today. I really appreciate how he went the extra mile. It is people like Jose that will keep customers coming back, plus the great deals and food!

Service was great! It was not busy in there. I got 3 tacos and they were fine. The chicken one was dry but probably because I ordered it without pico.Food: 4/5

Superrrrr disappointed in the brunch option.. I was looking forward to their brunch for a few weeks and the “mangu”… was just not it, as you can see. The texture was as if you’re chewing gum. That is NOT mangu, at all. The mimosa was mostly OJ. They changed the chorizo and queso dip, WHY!?! It was so much better before. Super watery and with black beans? Yeah, not sure. My boyfriend had the Argentinian steak and eggs and mangu. Steak was super salty and almost cooked blue rare we did share our thoughts with the server so hopefully he passes it up to the kitchen. Bummed. Used to really like this place. The 2 stars I guess is for the service.
