Europa Deli Cafe - Greater Shepparton

I was looking forward to having lunch here as the food has been tasty and well presented on previous occasions. Unfortunately the day I visited the staff appeared to be unwilling to take an order. Two of the ladies were chatting together and the other wiping a food area. Having waited several minutes to place my order I ended up walking out. There are several other options near by where customers are not ignored.

Having come here a number of times now, this visit was a little ho hum...Went inside to have a look at what was available to eat and place our order and was sent outside to our table and told we would be given a menu and could enjoy table service....ok...no problem with that!. The thing that made me laugh was the statement on the menu saying that there were plenty of other menu choices available by going inside to have a look.....We ordered a variety of dishes...a focaccia, a sandwich, a chicken pie and a savoury muffin, which was only ordered because there were no beef pies. The muffin was very under-cooked and soggy inside. The other dishes were fine. Experience was soured a bit when the waitress dropped off the bill with a verbal statement saying that there was no rush to pay but there had been a number of people "forgetting to pay".

We actually ended up here as it was surprisingly one of the only places open on a Sunday morning! Glad we did end up wandering in though, as it was lovely! Deli is full of some great stuff, and my toasted sandwich was fantastic! Recommend!

I was working in Shepparton for almost 6 months, I would visit Europa Deli Cafe most days for breakfast and a coffee. The variety of food is outstanding with lots to choose from (cold meats, cheese, eggs, deserts). I would get my regular eggs benedict but the lovely staff would always add delicious sides to make my breakfast all that more enjoyable and different.Dom the owner was always happy to see me and so were the heart-warming staff, who would always make mornings easy before work.Only regret is that I didn’t diversify my breakfast and try other meals.Thankyou Dom and to all the staff.

Sandwiches are really ordinary. I had a chicken schnitzel which to my personal horror was stuffed with avocado, was stiff as a board and over toasted. The milkshake I ordered had too much syrup. The deli though looked great, full of beautiful small goods.
