After hearing so many goods things about The Last Straw, eventually got to try it and it certainly lived up to expectations.Love the look and feel of the rooms, and along with pleasant service and great food this is a must try venue.Small blackboard menu - but both our meals were fresh and yummy.Plus great coffee (which we got to take away). This was the best Massaman curry I've ever had. It was perfectly spiced with tender beef, vegetables, and potato. We also tried the stir-fried vegetables and cashew nuts, which were delicious. My husband enjoyed a fresh roti, and the coffee was excellent. To top it off, we couldn't resist the mango sticky rice dessert, which was a real treat. We had a great chat with the friendly owner, who mentioned they offer set-price dinners on Monday nights. Shepparton is lucky to have The Last Straw; I only wish it were closer to us as we were just passing through.
This Thai restaurant is excellent - the best we have tried so far! The food is delicious, fresh, and high quality. The menu is concise, but offers enough variety to leave you satisfied. The service is very good and the value for money is excellent.
Great Food, service and prices. The food is great, always tasty. Service is quick or long, whatever you want. Make a booking or you will need to grab take away
Fabulous food, probably the best Thai I’ve had in Australia. Completely unexpected from a nondescript converted house in the middle of a million car workshops. Lovely inside, very welcoming, but the food was nuts. I had a red duck curry with lychees but everything was awesome. Worth visiting Shep for. Cheap too.
Friendly staff good little place to unwind on a day off would definitely be coming back I wish it was open for dinner
