I suggest making reservations more than 24 hours in advance for the tea. I made the mistake of trying exactly a day before, so next time, I will call way in advance. But we were able to enjoy the cafe and the natural surroundings even without reservations. There was no wait since we came after lunchtime. They have different food options, which was great. The menu isn't vast, but it's a cafe, not a full-blown restaura... View all feedback.
What Juan M Martinez doesn't like about The Hidden Oak Café:
Can't say anything about the food as we were not served. All we wanted was a cup of coffee but we were denied entry because my wife happened to be carrying an empty paper plate with no food 2 hours before closing. A young man told us we couldn't enter the cafe It's a real shame that such a beautiful place left an ugly impression We felt discriminated against due to our appearance Service: 1 View all feedback.

What a happy surprise to find this intimate cafe inside the Arboretum. You can stop in for a quick snack or something a bit more substantial or just step up to the counter and pick up a bottle of water. It's pretty, well appointment, bright, and cheary. Prices are not crazy. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other
It’s located inside the Manor house in the Bayard Cutting Arboretum. We ordered tuna sandwich, Turkey wrap, baked salmon, hot dogs and peanut butter and jelly sandwich. For the dessert we ordered a chocolate cake piece and scones. Turkey wrap was bit salty, cake and scones were not freshly baked and too dry. Tuna sandwich and baked salmon was really good. Portion size was big and price was reasonable. Friendly staff with a great service. You can sit inside or outside. In outside you can have a great view of the lawn and the river. In menu you have 15 different types of tea to select. Need to make a reservation in advance for the Victorian tea. (Completely forgot to capture our food photos other than desserts. because after a long walk we were so hungry).
A lovely spot for lunch, brunch, or tea at the Bayard Cutting arboretum. There is seating inside and out (I sat outside with a beautiful view of the lawn and the river). The curry chicken salad sandwich was very good, the service was terrific, and the view could not be beat Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
