Fishermen's Net - Gray
Fishermen's Net
Description
An unpretentious seafood market-meets-restaurant serving fresh, simply prepared New England fare year-round. Generous lobster and crab rolls, crisp fried seafood (best eaten there), hearty chowder and fair prices make it a local favorite with friendly service. Seating is basic—metal chairs and folding tables—so it's practical rather than polished. Takeout is available, but fried items can arrive soggy in plastic containers; best to eat in when possible.

I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve lived in this part of Maine for 24 years and just recently discovered The Fisherman’s Net. I’ve been there a few times and I’ll definitely keep returning. The food is excellent, and the staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. I love the lobster rolls—they're loaded with a generous amount of lobster. The fish has also been delicious every time we’ve ordered it. I highly recommend stopping by to give them a try. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Delicious and fresh seafood! We enjoyed 1.5-pound twin lobsters that were just caught, only a 10-minute drive from Poland Springs Inn.
This was our first visit, and we enjoyed good service along with a wide selection of seafood. The food was well-prepared, and the portion sizes were satisfactory. We would definitely come back.
UPDATE for cooked takeout I ordered fried scallops to go. I'm a 3 min drive away, when I opened up the plastic container, my fried scallops looked like soup. My scallops were wet and sitting in liquid. I don't reccomend the takeout. Plastic containers are the worst for fried foods. What are they thinking? They are always happy to help, they cook your lobbies for you and have them ready for whatever time you want to pick-up. This is my go to place for raw seafood to cook at home too.
