I spent a few months in Granada and discovered their delicious tofu towards the end of my stay. It was great quality at a reasonable price, definitely worth trying! In the evenings, outside the restaurant entrance, they also sell a traditional dish called "frito" which consists of fried green and ripe plantains topped with a tangy salad. It can be served with meat or cheese, but you can also order it as a vegan option or with gallo pinto (rice and beans) for a typical Nicaraguan meal at a low cost.
The restaurant offers generous portions, quick service, delicious food, and incredibly affordable prices! I highly recommend trying the broccoli, bok choy, and tofu in Chinese sauce.
As the other reviews have mentioned, the proportions are massive. I ordered the vegetarian tofu court, which was fried with some tweepers, paprika and celery in the sauce and it came with a serving of white rice. the court would have fed two people easily. I was glad to have found in nicaragua tofu, but there was only so much sauce, there was something overwhelming. price super reasonable, I think my gigantic court was 180.
Tofu nets and other vegan options (creide or noodle with sweet,) you can ask for a tofu addition. updated by previous review on 2022-11-25
We ate here a few times during our trip to granada and loved it both times. we shared a few dishes, including a tofu court (they must have been just when the person visited below.) the dishes are tasteful, fresh and big! they also have really cheap prices. there is a 'vegetarian' section on the menu plus other veggie options throughout.
