Mr Cake Goeteborg

Well, the delicious looking cake's are a feast for the eyes. Awesome creations that almost make my eyes and mouth water and flod the floor in front of me. Standing in front of the variety of cakes and pastries, choosing the best looking pieces for today's long awaited coffee and cake moment. With a lot of self control, stopping myself from grabbing the cake while still standing in line, rushing to the table to finally grab the fork and taste heaven... The first sample was a slice through it all, from frosting to the cake base. And the expected explosion of delicious in my mouth didn't come. The frosting tasted pure butter or actually more like margarine without any flavor. The cake base and chocolate mousse was not even close to the expected full bodied knock out chocolate that my eyes were promised. Sorry but the look doesn't match with the taste at all. The Tosca and cinnamon buns does a better job and are quite good. I've visited Mr cake several times and learned that the cakes is found much tastier in other places.

Very delicious cake and late macchiato. The view is beautiful. It’s a nice place to have lunch and afternoon tea. Highly recommended! We will come here again.

A visit here will leave you in a sugar rush and a food coma all at once. The cakes here are exquisite, appealing to the eye, rich of aroma and full of flavours Word of caution if you visit during rush hour, you might opt for a takeaway instead, because this place can get PACKED! That only shows how amazing their cakes are An additional note, one cake piece Can be enough for people, unless you're really craving that food coma

This is supposed to be THE cake place in Sweden so the expectation was HIGH. Unfortunately it didn't live up to expectation... It wasn't bad... It just wasn't as fantastic as it is portrayed to be. I went with my wife and kids. I ordered the chocolate devil and my kids pink celebration and some small chocolate piece. None of us finished and my daughter (who loves cake) removed half the cake because the frosting tasted too much like butter. Other than that it was an OK cake. My wife is the lucky winner though as she ordered the salted caramel pancakes and that was so good both my daughters ended up in her lap helping her finishing it. We didn't try the various other pastries available but they looked amazing. So my tip would be come for the pancake and pastry and avoid the cakes, ironic though considering the name.

I knew Mr Cake from Stockholm already. This one has the same great cakes i know but without the massive queue Solid coffee, but really it's all about the cakes. They're really next level here
