Only the dishes are disappointing during Christmas, personally I think they use too much cheap (non-local) products. The website states that they cook with local products as much as possible. Then there will be swordfish on the menu at Christmas... many people will think it's fine, but for me as a fish specialist that is a no go... especially with the beautiful local products that we have available in Zeeland (from the North Sea). Initially we thought we would only order a main cour... read more During our transit to Rotterdam we decided to have a quick bite to eat at Restaurant De Klokkenaar in Goes. Initially we thought we would only order a main course, but the experience was so good that we eventually went for a full three-course menu. The food was simply excellent. Every dish was prepared with visible craftsmanship and tasted fantastic. The hosting was also top notch: the service was friendly, professional and provided detailed explanations of both the wines and the dishes. This gave the evening an extra dimension and made it a culinary experience. Restaurant De Kluisaar is definitely recommended for anyone in Goes or the surrounding area. Whether you want to eat something quickly or have an extensive dinner, you are in good hands here. We will definitely come back!
