The best food in Goderich! Maybe all of southwest Ontario.Genuinely nice people. Everything on the menu is wonderful. Pad Thai might be the best Pad Thai I have ever had. Lived in Asia for 13 years so that is a great complement.Enjoy View all feedback.
What Norma King dislikes about Thyme on 21:
on Wednesday we made a family pilgrimage to goderich to try another excellent meal in thyme on 21 December. after 17 years operation close peter and catherine the best restaurant in goderich and most likely at the huron coast. that has been more than a decade in. cheaper place for us, and we are very sorry that it is going to end. We hope that soon someone else will use this magnificent house for a new restaurant wit... View all feedback.

Food and service were both very good. Lovely atmosphere.....unfortunate that they close for good tomorrow.
Sad they are moving on, but thrilled we got to experience it before their next adventure. Thank you for a wonderful birthday meal. Chef is 5 star and service was excellent. Wishing you all the best in your next adventures Peter, family and staff. Merci a tous!

Thyme on 21 offers a charming ambiance and excellent service, making it a standout dining option between Grand Bend and Tobermory. While some reviewers found the portion sizes to be lacking, the quality of the food was generally praised. Locally sourced ingredients add to the appeal of the menu, with standout dishes like the smoked salmon, bacon-wrapped tenderloin, and homemade bread receiving high marks. The elegant setting in a historic home and welcoming hosts make for a memorable dining experience, although accessibility may be a concern for some patrons. Overall, Thyme on 21 is lauded for its delightful atmosphere and delicious cuisine, making it a must-visit for those looking for a special dining experience in the area.

Pros: -atmosphere and view of the city -drinks (they have an onsite wine sommelier, which is interesting) -tapas (food was good but overpriced - you're
I was not expecting the world coming to this restaurant but our server Tamara was exceptional.
This place was great It is pricey but the view is amazing yOur reservation was for 730- it wasn't too busy and we enjoyed a non chaotic atmosphere.
We made a reservation for dinner while visiting friends at their cottage. The old house is beautifully restored and the front gardens are amazing. The service and food is also amazing and the history of the home is very interesting. I ordered the panko crusted crab cakes as an appetizer and the grilled milk fed veal liver with caramelized onions. Both were melt in your mouth delicious with amazingly delicious tastes. My husband started with the Traditional Caesar Salad and ordered the Pad Thai with stir fried Rice Noodles with shrimp, chicken , bean sprouts, egg ribbons, cilantro and topped with peanuts~~~exceptionally good. Will be back when in town.

It took me a while to write this review because I really wanted to give a good rating, since the ambience and service were both so lovely. However the food simply was not. While the crab cakes were delicious, they were absolutely tiny barely a mouthful, and each sat on a few measly leaves of spring mix. For $7.5 apiece I would appreciate even a little bit more salad, or something, but this is a recurring trend at this restaurant. For my main, I got the maple pork tenderloin which came with a delicious sauce. The pork was a little overcooked and chewy, but that wasn't the biggest issue. Once again, the portion was almost laughable. I could eat three plates of this and another entree myself, and have room for dessert. The saving grace was the sweet potatoes, which were delightfully caramelized and roasted to absolute perfection. The other entree was fish of the day, which turned out to be salmon on that particular evening. It was unfortunately very bland, along with the rice pilaf. Nothing to say except utter mediocrity. Got some creme brulee for dessert, which I have no complains about. It was delicious. Also forgot to mention, the free bread at the start was also fantastic, but there were only two half slices of it (you can get refills for 75¢ I believe, which I made the mistake of not doing). I really wanted to leave a glowing review for this place, but simply cannot for a meal that cost $150, I went home still hungry and had to pick up snacks for later. And I'm a fairly small person (5'4, 120lbs), so I can only imagine dining here as an individual with bigger stature. It is a shame though, because the vibe and the wait staff were some of the nicest I've encountered.
This is the best restaurant in Huron County. Very friendly service and the food is excellent. If you are in Goderich and want a great restaurant, this is the place to go.
All the food was amazing and locally sourced. The home made onion sage bread starter (free) was possibly the best bread I'm ever tasted and warm from the oven. My rolled soufflé was delicious as was my partner's grilled salmon. My soufflé came with the soup of the day which was a cream of curried cauliflower. Soufflé was awesome and not something I have very often. The ambiance is very elegant in an old Victorian home and the hosts are very welcoming. Great experience!
Best fine dining restaurant in Goderich! Food is locally sourced, and consistently excellent. Owners are extremely nice! Staff as well. Menu has something for everyone including Gluten Free Options.
Just about the loveliest people I ever did meet! Only fine dining in Goderich, but it is nicely if simply done in a century home. Menu for lunch selections are fairly limited, but delicious. We had the crab cakes which came with sweet potato fries and Caesar salad. Crab cakes were crabby (not too much filler) but teensy. Serving size was fine, but each cake was like a meatball. I prefer one big 'un. Lemon sorbet was dessert. Super light and tart and perfect ending for lunch on a hot day.

This restaurant is my absolute favourite ! The whole experience is wonderful and the food is just incredible! You must order the shrimp appetizer! I almost ordered it for dessert as well! We will keep coming back !
We love Thyme on 21 decided to treat ourselves to take out and support this lovely place during the current Covid 19 lockdown! Two thumbs up, delicious food, friendly safe service and very accommodating with my hubby’s food intolerances
Still a great place for well prepared and unpretentious food! A step above other restaurants in the area.
