This time we enjoyed lun... read more We returned to Goderich this week to visit family. We enjoyed our visit to Paddy O'Neil's so much in May , we thought we would return . This time we enjoyed lunch on the patio. Again the food and service were both excellent. We certainly recommend a visit to Paddy's when you are in Goderich.

Once our service started it was ju... read more There have been mixed reviews of Paddy O'Neil's. We found the sevice a bit slow. We seated ourselves and found our own menus. Once our service started it was just fine. A limited selection of beers and your typical pub fare is available. Our food was good and the beer was cold, so we left happy.

Alicia was always great and went out of her way to ensure my wife was taken care of and not contaminated. Not having her as our waitress one night we were served by another waitress. We explained the gluten and dairy allergies in depth. The salads show up and my wife`s is not what she ordered. The menu said spinach, mushrooms, onions, bacon and sliced egg . She asked for balsamic vinagrette. What she got was spinach, onions and tomatoes with italian dressing. Then she explained that when you order that salad as a small, you get something else. DUH! When we asked for the proper salad we were given another with most but not all of the ingredientd with a side of attitude! Then almost immediately our steaks arrived. WITH BUTTER on my wife`s plate. Being allergic to dairy this was unacceptable. I sent it all back and left, never to return. OK food but get Alicia or Brook or Danielle....no one else.

Steaks were cooked medium and we... read more I really hope our experience was not the norm for this restaurant. We ordered two steak and shrimp, steaks ordered medium rare. Steaks were cooked medium and well done, shrimp were overcooked and rubbery. Vegetables were cold. The only good thing was the sweet potato fries and cesear salad and beer. It eas clear from all the left over food we were not happy and they offered to cook us new steaks and shrimp but we didn't have the time to wait and figured the cook didn't suddenly learn how to cook good food. We got 10 percent off our bill and free sweet potato fries. This was an expensive salad and fries. We won't be back. Again I hope this is not the norm for this restaurant. ?

A place is run down and could use some serious updates.

The only good thing was the wine and live music , would not recommend at all. My pasta was not cooked I had to spit it out it was so hard . My partner had upgraded to sweet potato fries and they gave him very little.And don’t get me started on the service , asked for water didn’t receive, never came back to check on us as I didn’t eat my food and maybe would’ve ordered something else. I watched servers carry drinks by the rim just unsanitary!

I had ordered fish and chips, which... read more The kitchen was incredibly slow during my visit. I placed my order at 7 PM, and by 8 PM, we still hadn’t received our food. I had ordered fish and chips, which isn’t anything too elaborate. My daughter was extremely hungry, so we ended up leaving and going to Wendy’s instead.
