The coffee and scone I had were very good,; then the manager said the scone was on the house because she felt badly I had to come all the way from Toronto to get my bag. As if my forgetfulness was her fault! We like this place!

I was thirsty and wanted to buy a bottle of water. I was told we do not sell water. They sell pop. . This is funny becaue the profit magin on water is much higher than pop. We asked for napkins and were ignored. The coffee was terrible and tasted burned like it had been left on the burner for hour. My wife drowned hers in cream and choked it down. I drink my black and after three sips I threw it away.Lesson leared never to return

It was topped with cashew nuts and served on a pretty place on basmati rice with a slice of toast on the side (that part was a bit odd). I asked for the sauce recipe and chef was kind enough to write down the ingredients. It was a vegan dish -- would never miss the animal products in this dish. I'm not a vegan btw. My husband had meatloaf sandwich which came with a large bowl of turkey vegetable soup on the side. It was all delicious. Attentive service, clean bathroom and very reasonable. I will go back again.

This is a great local spot right downtown in beautiful Goderich
