Moxies Gloucester
Moxies Gloucester
Description
At this vibrant restaurant, diners experience a blend of delightful cuisine and varying levels of service. While some guests reported exceptional attention from staff, including a caring server who accommodated specific requests, others encountered rudeness at the reception and forgetfulness from their assigned servers. The food consistently earned high praise, particularly the shrimp tacos and stuffed baked potato. An open-concept kitchen adds a lively atmosphere, with many staff members displaying enthusiasm for their craft. While minor issues like portion sizes and service inconsistencies were noted, overall, patrons expressed eagerness to return, highlighting memorable dining experiences.

Feedback
I had an excellent experience at the restaurant, largely due to our server, Alexa. She was fantastic and made some drink recommendations that we decided to try; we're really glad we did, as they were delicious. We ordered the Chicken Madeira Rigatoni, which is a dish we always enjoy. However, during our last three visits, we've been disappointed because it seems like there's significantly less of that wonderful sauce. While the prices for this meal at Moxie’s have increased, the portion sizes have decreased, particularly the sauce. The pasta doesn't taste as it should without enough sauce to properly coat each rigatoni, which is a bit disheartening. I hope the restaurant considers increasing the sauce back to its original amount so we can enjoy dipping our bread in it again. On a positive note, the Cashew Chicken Lettuce Wraps were absolutely incredible. Thank you again, Alexa, for the great service! I hope to have you as my server again in the future.
We frequently dine at Moxie's on Ogilvie Road and were excited for the New Year's Special. Our server, Ashley B, provided excellent service—she was friendly, knowledgeable, and made several great recommendations. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the occasion. Unfortunately, one of our main dishes arrived cold, but the issue was promptly addressed, and an adjustment was made to the bill. I want to emphasize that we've visited this restaurant over two dozen times, and this was the first time we've had a concern about the food, which is usually outstanding. I hesitate to mention anything negative since this place is our favorite, but I do so to highlight how effectively and professionally they handle any problems that arise. I highly recommend Moxie's on Ogilvie Road.
**Pros:** The service we received was exceptional. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, which was a welcome surprise in a time when quality customer service is hard to come by. Moxies is fortunate to have her on their team! I believe her name started with an "L," possibly Lee-ann or Leana, but I’m not entirely sure. The food was fantastic, especially the appetizers! **Cons:** We were a party of five seated in a half-moon booth that realistically accommodates four comfortably, so it felt a bit cramped for us. Additionally, some of the plates we received for the appetizers weren't cleaned thoroughly. Also, the Woo Woo Tini was quite sour. I typically enjoy sour cocktails, but this one felt a bit off balance—like, does it really need a whole lime in it?
We had a very good meal. Service was fast. Restaurant was packed so a bit noisy- to be expected it's Christmas get together time! The greeter was helpful getting us to our table a little earlier. One of our favourite servers (Cat) took the time to say hello to us even though we were not in her section. The server and manager went out of their way to see we had a good dining experience. So, that's why we keep going back.
