The Hickory Bourbon Pork Chop Dinner was absolutely amazing! The waiter was extremely friendly and attentive, making sure my meal met all my expectations. The restaurant was pleasantly uncrowded for a Sunday night, which made for a very enjoyable dining experience. I truly loved my time there. What Ty I dislikes about Ruby Tuesday:
Honestly, this was the worst thing I’ve ever tasted. It was supposed to be chicken parmesan, but it was really just macaroni and cheese with a piece of chicken on top and a little bit of marinara sauce. I wouldn't recommend it. As for the Chocolate Brownie Sundae Explosion, they just served me some brownies. View all feedback.
The Parmesan Shrimp Pasta was quite underwhelming, to say the least. As for the Blackened Chicken Quesadilla, I have to say it was disappointing. There’s a fine line between being blackened and being burnt, and this crossed that line. There were no tomatoes, salsa, or any other toppings to enhance the dish. I've always had great experiences at Ruby T, but this felt more like something you'd expect from a drive-thru.
This chain has been on my not so great list for a number of years. It 's one of the few chains here in Gloucester County, VA. Before Covid we 'd come once-in-a-while to enjoy the salad bar but not so much the remainder of the menu. Recently I 've become even more skeptical of their food because there 's just no flavor, but they recently presented tater tots and grilled zucchini. Both are darned good. A few weeks back we visited and I ordered the fish chips. Immediately I realized the fish was frozen and in small strips like chicken fingers. Obviously it 's Gordon 's from a box. I ate one and it was horrible. Poor waitress asked if everything was ok and I didn 't hold back. She sent the manager. I discussed the problem with her and she admitted they didn 't have the wherewithal to keep fresh fish. To my thinking then it shouldn 't be on the menu. For years they never offered a decent steak; now they 're offering ribeyes and others. What took you so long? Most everything I 've tried on this menu has been other than stellar, even the ribs which are dried out and tough. Thus last visit was the worst ever. Our party of four didn 't enjoy the first thing. One had the salmon (overcooked), Philly cheesesteak with four cheeses (very salty cheeses, he couldn 't finish), mine was so bad I can 't even remember what it was except the zucchini which was overcooked. The salad bar Is what you make it which was pretty good. The 4th diner had the pot roast and he said it was all right but the waitress said there was a lot of liquid (not gravy) but when it arrived it looked very dry, overcooked and so very unappetizing. He doesn 't care for mushrooms and he diligently picked every one of those suckers out! Each of us pledged to never return to THIS restaurant.
The baked potato was missing butter and sour cream, which was disappointing. The fish was excellent, and the broccoli was fantastic, but the dry potato really brought the meal down.
Went on Sunday for an early lunch before it got busy. 5 adults and one 18 month old. We were seated, got our drinks, then ordered at approximately 11:45. 2 of us had salad bar to start. Shared a few vegetawith the baby as he was hungry. Waitress came back once, I asked for extra napkins, never got them or refils on drinks. An hour passes I go to the waitress and ask where our food is, drink refils, napkins. She said a sandwhich wasnt done yet. I asked for a manager. The manager was cooking so I simply asked that the waitress bring the food that was ready so it doesnt get cold and assumed they may ne short staffed if manager is cooking. 10 more minutes pass. She comes with refils and napkins. Tells us shes sorry but one of the items we ordered they dont have..this is now 70 minutes after we ordered and a starving kid! I asked for the Manager. She wouldn't come out. Told them to cxl the order, paid what we had so far and left. Absolute worst all around customer service ever. Not even an Im sorry we suck!
