Overall, I would it e it The food was average. I enjoy the Clam-Chowder. The spaghetti was fine. I'm sure the place isn't known for her steak, but the NY steak I had was mostly fats. The service was great, but the food could be better. I also visited it the day after Thanksgiving maybe her main cook wasn't in. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Glendora Continental Traditional Basque Cuisine:
I ordered the lamb when it arrived. The presentation was perfect, but the plate was especially the shaft that was cold. My waitress didn't come to me. I had to fly the bartender to get my food to the right temperature. That ruined it for me. Try it. Maybe there's another cook in service. View all feedback.
My professional group met there today for our end of the year luncheon. Great service and yummy food. I will be back with the family for the early bird specials.
So many mixed reviews on this place, but was a place on my list from had to try. When I saw they had corned beef and cabbage for St Paddy?s, that was my excuse. It was a Friday night and on my way home from a round of golf, so I ordered take out. Got there a little early, so had a chance to check the place out and loved the vibe. Live music in the bar, which was packed, and menu seemed interesting enough to bring me back. To start, the phone order was smooth and very friendly. Once I got there, I started up a conversation with the receptionist who took my order and the manager. We had a great conversation about the place and menu and how I wanted to try the place, but the mixed reviews might have kept me away. They really do seem to care and was so friendly, not sure where the mixed reviews come from but my experience was awesome. I had some extra time, so got a drink and listed to the band. Seems like a great weekend dinner and music night for the future. As for the food, the corned beef was awesome. Huger portion of beef, potatoes, carrots and cabbage for about $18. Came with bread and soup, which was clam chowder on this night (split pea was the other option). The soup and bread were delicious as well. Definitely warrants a return trip, where the Basque dinner is in my sights.
The worst service. People sitting at the bar obviously are regulars, just have blank stares on their faces. ?Looking clueless ? Waited 30 minutes for waitress to even acknowledge us. Never did. Guess turning around took too much effort. Wanted to order dinner enjoy the band. Had to go to the bar to get a drink. Had one drink and left to Clubhouse 66 where we had a great meal drinks. Band was good at the Continental for the short time we stayed. Security guard was the most engaging nice person there.? Leaves another thought, why does a restaurant need a security guard ????? ????
