A tad bit pricy but definitely worth it as the quality of the crossiants is very good. I've visited multiple times and always been impressed with service and food quality. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Phillippa's:
The coffee is not to the standard of the other coffee shops in the street. The baked goods are good but the quantities are a bit on the mean side. I get the feeling that the business is always watching the bottom line. The girls on the counter are stressed, I think you need to pick up your game. View all feedback.
I love the food at this restaurant, especially during this time of year when they have Hot Cross Buns. While they may be a bit expensive, I have tried many varieties from various places and Phillippa's definitely has the best ones! Delicious!
No skim, soy or almond for a coffee?!. I'm a bit astounded they don't do anything but full cream milk for a coffee but nevertheless it's a bit strange to say the least. A bit of a time warp in that respect but after a few times coming here the honey oat loaf is terrific, the Parmesan sables are delish and the mixed nuts are very spicy though -had a bit of a spice attack the other day. Lots of cool things on the walls to buy like condiments and sauces and the staff are friendly.
This is the second time I've popped into Phillipa'sI live in the area but, being a bakery, it isn't my first choice for a place to eat.
Pretty good. But with high price, comes, undoubtedly distinguished product. I've only been in the few times for a loaf of bread, and some scroll thingo's.
I love the Frenchness of this bakeryIt also supplies bread and other bakery goods to Thomas Dux and cafes on High Street.
