Was Anonym at Holy Bowly a mag?
Which ever city I'm in I always hunt out restaurants /cafes that serve wholesome quality food, esecially ones that provide vegetarian raw food options too. So blessed to have Holy Bowly as my local cafe. Food is great, healthy and with enough options for partners who prefer more traditional cafe food (bacon rolls etc.). Holy Bowly delivers consistently on all fronts. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Holy Bowly:
Each visit I have generally been disappointed with the customer service. Staff are not welcoming and are about as cold as the acai bowls they serve. Whilst the food is good, clean and fresh it's a eat and leave kind of vibe. All of the acai bowls are delicious and I would highly recommend the holy greens smoothie. View all feedback.

This was our first time at Holy Bowly for breakfast, coming to the end of our 20yr journey of eating our way along Hampton Street, Hampton. A relatively new edition to the street, it’s light and bright with cheerful staff. It’s a small confined area though, and tables are crammed together. You have to get up and manoeuvre your way to the counter to order your food. The menu is all health-conscious stuff, focusing on fresh produce and “raw” food. If you’re into quinoa, kale, spinach, acai berries, coconut milk and wheatgrass – this is the place for you. We prefer a more traditional type of menu but decided to give it go. We both chose the “special” of the day, which was supposed to be “Mexican” style poached eggs (see pic). The first let-down was the single poached egg when the menu clearly stated “poached eggs”. The bowl consisted of sauté capsicum, corn, cherry tomatoes and roasted potatoes and had 2 small dollops of sour cream and a chilli based sauce. Upon consumption, it felt like a weird mixture of stir fry and Sunday roast. The dish was tasty, but needed more sour cream and/or chilli to pull it together. It felt more like a lunch dish than breakfast. We could have ordered a couple of poached eggs on toasted sourdough and then added sides of avo, tomato and bacon – but we wanted to experience what Holy Bowly was all about, rather than what we would choose to cook ourselves. I understand the concept here, but it’s not main stream enough for us. It’s definitely a niche market for the ‘health food junkies’ and absolutely delivers on that. We’ve ticked that box and can now return to some of our more favorite places next time.

We visited the place during our stay in Melbourne for my sister's engagement. We dropped by this place to grab a bite. The place is small with tables, seats and benches inside as well as outside. After we ordered and waited about 20min we did not get served. We went to the cashier and asked and they simply seemed to have forgotten about our order!

This charming little restaurant has a fantastic vibe and atmosphere. The loaded açai bowl was absolutely delicious, with all the ingredients tasting incredibly fresh. It definitely lives up to its name, Holy Bowly! The coffee was decent, nothing to write home about but it wasn't bad either. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for brunch and catching up with friends.

The staff is very friendly. We tried the Snickers bowl and it was delicious. It was quite filling.
