Edna's really doesn't look much from the outside but it does a nice, simple brunch menu and an enjoyable range of cakes and biscuits. Ingredients are of average quality, but it's very affordable and definitely offers good value.
This establishment has recently changed hands , the new operators show great promise, maintaining & updating the menus , this venue as I have mentioned before offers old world charm for the modern cross section of the community , extremely clean /tidy , newspapers/ magazines , simply a great venue to unwind & relax , take it all in , think if yesterday , well done to all , keep up the great work , much appreciated,Cheers peter
Although though there has been a change in ownership-management-chef EDNA's still produces the hearty breakfast fare it is renown for. Although with the new "Team" some of its "Old Charm" has gone, but if one can look past that, this place still serves up pretty good brekkie grub. No fuss. No fanfare. Just honest to goodness food!
David is a pro at making large soy milk coffees - no small feat. The service is friendly, attentive, and the food is consistently delicious. The staff is always polite and welcoming. I find myself coming here almost every day.
There are seats on the street, inside and in a sunny deck in the back. I dined inside and had my coffee with one of the special meals of chicken parma with chips and salad (for only $15). My meal wasn't like the huge pub meals you could see, but was a great value at the price. Other specialties include chicken pasta, roasted beef sandwiches, and a mushroom burger. The café also has Wi-Fi. My coffee was a bit bitter, but otherwise good. I was immediately supplied with water without having to ask.
