What's packed tight, sweaty and pulsating on a Monday night? Eugene Hamilton's polyester fashion slacks, of course! But I was actually referring to the Dogs Bar in St Kilda, where Eugene and his band The Money have a long-standing residency. If you haven't been, you're missing one of the best things Melbourne's live music scene has to offer. Entry is free, the food is great (get there early), and the band is tighter than the squeeze to get to the toilets behind the bar.

Top atmosphere, nice crowd. A mix of all ages from 18 to 80. Decor is old Euro pub like. Blues playing most times. Live music later in the evenings. The meals (had a few now) are generous. Not wow factor, but very good for a bar. I'll be back for sure :D
