I went to dear Liza about two weeks ago on a friends recommendation so I did have high standards, when I walked in I had a friendly welcome and the lady took my... read more I went to dear Liza about two weeks ago on a friends recommendation so I did have high standards, when I walked in I had a friendly welcome and the lady took my order straight away but she didn't ask me if I wanted a drink or anything with it and the interaction ended quite abruptly, the burger I ordered took just over half an hour to come which I thought was a little long as the cafe didn't appear to be that busy apart from takeaway coffee, when I got the food I ordered a glass of wine and that didn't arrive till after I had finished the meal. The burger was nice, the service was pleasant but I think they were understaffed so that ruined the experience a little.

I had the classic ham cheese and tomato toastie and my wife had the banana and honey porridge which she has not stopped raving about for the past four days. It’s a nice little cafe with a industrial look. A handy little tip is that they are licenced to serve alcohol and if l was there in the afternoon it may have been very hard to leave for our meeting.

The staff were very friendly, the environment was comfortable, and the coffee very good. A bottle of chilled water was brought to me as soon as I sat down. I chose a coffee and sausage roll and settled down to read their newspapers in the quiet of the late morning. The prices were very good, as well.
