That's where Basilico comes in. With four locations scattered around Melbourne, this family-owned Italian restaurant has been serving up delicious, authentic meals for years. I tried the creamy pesto gnocchi with a side of buttery garlic bread, and it was decadently delicious. It was a casual but perfect dining experience.

To cap that off the entrees, pastas and mains stack up well too, and if you go through to dessert leave plenty of space. The service standards decline when very busy. It's better to go for lunch or the quieter nights.  Sitting in Basilico Windsor and looking out into Chapel St you could be in any eat-street in the world. Recommended when it's not too busy.
