What Shawn Friesen doesn't like about Wok Express:
The restaurant is not very impressive. The food is decent, but the portion sizes are small and not worth the price. I have been here a few times, but it has never really stood out to me. The prices used to be more affordable, which was its main draw, but the menu has changed. The dishes are now ranked in descending order of popularity: black bean beef, salt and pepper dishes, Thai basil chicken, sweet and sour pork,... View all feedback.

Yumhahaha. This little Chinese take-away spot doesn't have a lot to please the eye, but the salty, oily, broth and wonton soup can.
Terrible service sat in there for 40mins tonight waiting for a very small order.
How can food be this greasy while still being this bland and tasteless? Friendly service, but really lousy food.

read moreLocated in Glebe, this restaurant offers a disappointing dining experience according to multiple reviews. While the food is decent, it is not exceptional and may not be worth the price. The menu has changed recently, and some dishes like the lemon chicken and salt and spicy squid received low ratings. The overall consensus is that the food is lacking in flavor and authenticity, with some dishes being too saucy or rubbery in texture. Despite the friendly service and reasonable prices, the quality of the food is not enough to warrant a return visit. On the other hand, another reviewer highly recommends the special fried rice and combo chow mein, praising the generous portions and authentic flavors. This reviewer urges others to give the restaurant a try despite the negative feedback from other customers. Ultimately, it seems like opinions on this restaurant are divided, and it may be best to visit and judge for oneself.
The special fried rice and combo chow mein at Wok Express are fantastic. Unlike other cheap versions that use fillers like peas and cheap ham or luncheon meat,...
