*Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food but I gotta say* thoroughly enjoyed the beer popcorn. It's the kind of small business you wanna support. It felt like we were sitting outside in the beautiful Glebe air after a long day's work... And that's precisely what we were doing. Wouldn't wanna do it anywhere else! And that popcorn??? I'm going to find out that recipe.. If it's the last thing I do Service: 5.
What Hilario Jacobs doesn't like about The Little Guy:
Friendly, intimate bar; loved the spiced popcorn and trivia nights are a bit of fun. Perhaps it could be a tad bigger, though I liked the seperation of all the rooms which provides a bit of privacy. View all feedback.
What can I say about this little beauty, situated l in Glebe. It's all so... Hipster but yet so inviting. It has this house party vibe to it, where you want to come and catch up with an old friend for a cheeky drink or two (or maybe more) depending on your mood and company. This place whets your drinking appetite with unlimited complimentary popcorn. This drinking hole really knows how to get your desire for alcohol going. <br/ Their simple and uncomplicated cocktail menu is kind of refreshing, making decision making nice and simple. <br/ We ordered the The gin diesel sour (totally rocked the palate) and the mojito whilst grazing away on popcorn, enjoying good company, and a yarn. <br/ God place to come driving if you want to get out the hussle and bustles of the CBD and a low key drink with friends. <br/ This place is highly recommended and totally worth travel for a night out or to try somewhere new. Always a pleasure to return to this funky venue. <br/
This quaint, neighbourhood bar is the perfect location for a date, where the drinks flow easy and the bartenders are always up for a chat, making them a reliable ice breaker if the conversation with your date isn’t flowing. The Little Guys has a quirky, handwritten cocktail lists that changes weekly and have loaded up on the craft beer, making the ideal him and her drink list. They also offer up delicious free spicy popcorn to munch on during those long pauses of silence. Be warned, if you are a local/ have friends in this area, you will most likely bump into them all, better get your story straight of how you met! It is a great watering hole, hidden from the busy city, perfect to get cosy over a few drinks. You could go all in and order bourbon, chill with a beer or be a little spontaneous and order a cocktail, whichever drink you decide, it will aid the conversation flow. Warning, your biggest obstacle here will be finding the bar– the entrance is a non-descript alley door with no signage, good luck. This authentic Japanese café in Regent Place is known for its Japanese matcha green tea but sticking to the sweet notes, they serve up generous matcha-based parfaits that are great for sharing . You can’t go wrong with the standard parfait matcha comprising of sweet green tea ice-cream with taro balls, pocky sti
One of my favourite bars in Glebe! Tiny bit cosy! <br/ <br/ You can sit at the front window or at the bar or for bigger groups down the back. <br/ <br/ Relaxed vibe and cool up cycled furniture. I believe you can still draw on the chalk board table which is great for doodle heads! <br/ <br/ Good selection of wines too!
Well the Little Guy has grown to become somewhat of an institution over the short time it's been in Glebe. Immediately making an impact, it established itself from the existing bars in the area, some well entrenched and other battling to find regular clientele. It's great to see a small bar such as this succeed and offer people an enjoyable down to earth experience with some craziness thrown in for good measure. The free popcorn and revolving cocktail list doesn't hurt either. Don't expect to come here at a peak time and find a chair or table to sit at. The Little Guy is an incredibly popular spot for locals and blow-ins alike so you'll have some competition.
Great local small bar on glebe point road to go to on a Saturday afternoon. Not overly packed. Great fresh cocktail that's not overly sweet.
