Was Xanthe00 at Annlann a mag?
We dined at this restaurant with a party of 5 adults and 2 children. The children's menu offers a nice variety and the kids enjoyed everything on their plates. The King Prawn cocktail starter included 8 prawns and was great value. The steak was cooked perfectly. We used a tastecard for 50% off the bill, including the children's meals. View all feedback.

What Slc250272 dislikes about Annlann:
I recently had dinner at the restaurant connected to the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow. Despite the restaurant not being very crowded, the service was slow in taking my order. However, once the food arrived, it was delicious and beautifully presented. I especially enjoyed the Sticky Toffee Pudding Sundae. View all feedback.

I went to a restaurant with my friend on October 27, 2015 around 9:00 pm because we were very hungry. We had to wait 5 minutes to be seated, even though the restaurant was not very busy with only a few tables occupied. We ordered salads and soups, and our drinks arrived after 5 minutes, which was fine. However, we waited over an hour for our food, which was frustrating. Despite repeatedly asking about our order, we were told it was on the way. Eventually, we got fed up and decided to go to another restaurant. When we went to pay for our drinks, we encountered a manager or supervisor, who did not apologize or offer any explanation for the long wait. The restaurant's atmosphere and decor were nice, but the service was extremely disappointing. Waiting over an hour for food without any explanation or apology was unacceptable. The management should address these issues.

We were staying at the Thistle Hotel, Glasgow, for a couple of days. It was pouring rain the day we arrived and decided to eat in the Annlann Restaurant in the hotel that evening. There was 4 of us and the food was very good with a big choice. We had steak which was priced for 2 people and it was very good indeed. I usually like a desert but had no space for one after such a satisfying meal. However 2 of us did have desert don't know where they put it. With drinks the cost was just under £80 which I thought was terrific value. The staff were excellent.

We went to meet a business colleague who was staying here. We started with a drink and then decided to eat in the bar. There were 5 staff working, who spent most of their time talking to each other. Three of them were chewing gum the whole time we were there, which was very off putting especially as one of the girls was furiously chewing with her mouth open. Yuk! The 2 girls had long hair which was not tied back. As they were also serving food that is definitely a no no. Eventually we managed to get someone's attention long enough to order food. Our mains were duly served (she was still chewing gum). We were not asked if we wanted more drinks, we had to call someone over, and the used glasses were not taken away. My colleague ended up with three empty glasses. The staff were still stood around talking and chewing without looking to see if anyone wanted anything. We managed to get someone's attention to order desserts and she brought over a menu (still chewing gum). At that point she seemed to notice that we had empty plates from our mains and she took them away (but still didn't take empty glasses or ask if we wanted any more drinks). I asked for creme brulee (literal translation burnt cream). It came in a pot with no brulee on the top so it was just creme and very bland at that. The waitress (still chewing) gave me some rubbish about the chef saying that if he had done the brulee the rest of it would have melted!!!!???? We decided to get the bill. Trying to attract the attention of one of the 5 staff stood about talking was a major feat in itself but we eventually managed it and she brought the bill over (still chewing). They had charged us £5 for 2 bowls of olives that we had not ordered so that had to be adjusted. The dirty plates and glasses were still on the table. As someone who works closely with the licensed trade, they missed numerous sales opportunities to sell more drinks, coffees etc, they were totally disinterested. And for goodness sake, STOP THEM CHEWING GUM!
