The Gate - GILMOUR

My husband and I were taking a less-traveled route to visit our daughters. Both of us were feeling tired and hungry. We noticed a sign for The Gate and decided to stop and check it out. The restaurant was unassuming, located in a remote area with no other buildings around.

We routinely ATV and snowmobile in the area and have always enjoyed our meals at the Gate . There is even a trail from the main ATV and snowmobile trail that leads right to there door. Reg the owner is always friendly and accomadating. Plus they are licenced for a nice cold beverage after a long days ride. Keep up the great work. Larry Romphf, Gunter Lake

Good food and atmosphere. Portion sizes are great, price is appropriate and nice and friendly staff. Owner is usually on site and will ensure you are having a good time and is more than open to making sure your time is here is a good one.

The Gate is a family run Restaurant their food is really good we have eaten there many times and they always surprise u .They are willing to change anything to suit u. His daughter makes all their pies and Chelsea buns . We drive 1 hr. to go there to eat. They are all so friendly.The owner is always making new meals to surprise when u go there there might be some thing u didn't see before .Would recommend this to any body who's hungry I usually have to take a doggy bag for some of the meals. I try something different every time we go

The service and products at this restaurant are fantastic! I highly recommend this company for anyone looking to design and build an inground pool and hot tub.
