We went to Culinary Dropout with relatives who live locally in Gilbert. We would definitely go back again when in town! Our server, Seattle, was very friendly and helpful. Also, we had a great visit with Bella. If I had only one criticism, it would be that the music was SO loud that we had to yell at each other to be heard. We had a very fun time. We’ll be back.
The Caesar Salad with added salmon was outstanding! Staff was helpful and friendly too.
RUINED OUR THEATER EVENING when we gave them another chance after RUINING MOTHERS DAY. After communicating both in the reservation and when we were being seated that we had theater tickets and needed to manage a timeline, the staff at Culinary Dropout left us sitting, unacknowledged by a server for fully 15 minutes until I waived down another server and asked for assistance. They then took our order. The food was subsequently delivered only 2 minutes after our cocktails, leaving no room to really enjoy the cocktail before having the meal delivered. Then we asked for dessert. We specifically ordered the no prep required pie (as opposed to the baked fresh dessert to ensure we could get out on time. 15 minutes later they still hadn’t delivered the single piece of cold Mississippi mudslide pie we had ordered. Now we were pushing being late for the theater. I asked for the check and the pie to go. This thoughtless staff didn’t do any of the things needed to take care of a table who clearly communicated a timeline for dining. They ruined what was supposed to be a lovely dinner before the theater with anxiety about whether we could get what we needed in time. They get some stars because the food, when it came, was quite good. But if you want to have a great experience, they fail utterly. (Note we came to culinary dropout to give them another chance and use the $50 gift card from the last dining horror when on Mother’s Day they took over an hour to bring our meals. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
Not impressed. Went for Sunday brunch 02/26/23. Took 1/2 hour to get coffee and order then another 50 minutes to get food. Ordered the hash, tortilla was cold, sunny side up egg might as well have been hardboiled, all lukewarm. Over priced for skimpy serving. Wait staff was meh...not sure why everyone raves about this place.
