What Edyth Stamm doesn't like about Filiberto's Mexican Food:
Can never enjoy after work because it always closes 30+ minutes early. I think they are doing us a favor actually, because we all know that undercooked carne asada is a fili b?s specialty View all feedback.
I grew up in this area and went to Mesquite High School, so my family and I would often visit this location for late night meals after practice or work. The food was always amazing and delicious. After graduating high school, I moved out of state for school. I recently moved back to the area a few months ago and decided to visit with my spouse and best friend. Let me tell you, when I took a bite, it tasted even better than I remembered. It brought a wave of nostalgia. I will definitely be coming here often.
Whoever the young person is who likes to refer to customers as "my guy" needs some customer service training. I spent $30 on takeout and when I asked for salsa as I was leaving, he told me it was out front. I clarified that I meant the little takeout containers, to which he responded that those were for drive-thru orders. When I questioned the difference, he explained that napkins could be included in takeout bags but not the pre-filled containers, which were for drive-thru use. He insisted that I could fill them at the chip bar, but I argued that they should be available for both drive-thru and takeout orders. He dismissively stated, "I've been working here for a long time, my guy." Disappointed by this interaction, I have decided to take my future takeout business to one of the nine other Mexican restaurants down the street that do not argue with customers over providing salsa. This incident occurred on 7/12/22 around 8pm, with a young employee wearing a red hat and longer hair manning the counter and drive-thru. It's a shame that he lost a customer over a mere 50 cents worth of salsa.
Been here at least 25 times and have always had a good experience! And the food has always been on point! No complaints
The food at this restaurant is excellent, but it can be a bit expensive, especially the extra toppings. The bean burritos are a good size and adding cheese can be costly. Adding beans to a chorizo/egg burrito is also expensive, but the portions are generous.
